When I started out with them I purchased 25. I requested 5m & 20f, this is what arrived.
However over the next yr or two, they matured into more males than females, which meant I had surplus stock of males.
These were sold off, so I now have 5m & 10f.
Due to the fact that the females are just starting to lay eggs, the males I selected were the "newly turned" ones, which hopefully will give me a long term group.
By selling off the "older" males (the orginals)I recouped some of my outlay, as they had doubled in price at point of sale.
BTW, you can't be a breeder with only one tort, you will definatly need one male & one female ;)
