It is not easy to respect something that you cannot understand. I know how you feel. Beliefs are sometimes like storms. They are fine, even beautiful when they are far away, but when they hit close to home, they are an object of fear and even hatred. If you cannot respect somone else, the easiest thing to do is accept that you should be able to, and therefore just look away unless immediate harm to you or someone else is eminant.
Learn from the mistakes of our ancestors, and be without bias.
Perhaps, with the preconception that the animals in the middle east/Russia are in danger, we can all feel the hope for their survival together, and use that mutual hope as a reason to respect one and other. We are all in agreance that the animals lives are at stake, let that be our bond.
