If it came down to saving A specific child or saving A specific turtle, of course I'd save the child! I love children, I have 2 of my own. But when you talk about entire populations I put wildlife before humans. And the a**holes going to war obviously don't care about either.

If I may borrow a quote from Colchicine "Humans aren't the only animals on the planet, we just act like it"

Solution in a perfect world = ship out all the children and turtles then do what you'd like to each other.

But let's not forget that if they go to war with nuclear weapons, our children will suffer too! And like someone else previously stated, I would rather die in the bomb blast than die a slow painful death.
