during the hottest part of the day they're in
deep burrows, not sitting out in the sun at noon.
Unless they dig a deep burrow here, it's hard to
duplicate those conditions of cool earth and moisture.
I remember a poster once that accidently left their
sulcata in the direct sun, and the sulcata was almost
overcome, foaming around the mouth and near the point
of overheating which they can do, remember they
can't control their own temperatures.
