Not only natural but uvB as well.
Is the tort in semi darkness which it associates with night time.
I'm a firm beleiver in fresh foods, not convinced that "dry diets" are to be used regulary.
Give him small feeds of fresh greens, a couple of times a day to encourage him to eat.
Also is your daytime temp 30c min.
These animals become very owner friendly, mine "talks" to me!!!( in the grunt mode)when I handle him.

: I hear that these torts are big eaters. I have a 4 inch one and i was told that it likes to eat this tortoise chow. Which it does. The person told me to give it six of these things a day plus its veggies and other stuff. It only eats about a half of stick of chow. Thats not a heavy feeder to me. Whats wrong. I have it in a large indoor pen with sand as substarte and a heat lamp. It has a hiding space and all. Tempature never gets below 70 at night
