A couple years ago my wife used to keep them. They are expert climbers and diggers. One day I went into my closet for my jacket. One of the Russian torts somehow got on the top shelf of the closet. To this day I still don't know how it got there. I hope you find the female.

: I had a pair of russian tortoises that just escaped and i cant find them!!!!!!! I got home today and went out to feed them and they werent there.....I am sssssssssooooooooooo sad right now...They were either stolen or they escaped...but it would be pretty hard to escape from the enclosure they were kept in....wanted to tell everyone so that they can make sure that their outdoor enclosures and escape/predator proof...like put locks on them!!!!! :(
