I keep leopard tortoises, and when I winter them inside I use timothy hay as substrate. It's dry to keep unwanted humidity low, and they can eat it if they want. It's high in fiber, which sulcatas and leopards need to keep their digestive systems working well. Have fun! They're fantastic animals.
