You know, the berries on leafies thing is a good idea.
There is a scientific type thing that is in effect here,
Contrasting colors like reds on greens attract the eyes
attention very well. (if you want to know more about
the serious science side, email my fiance at anp109@psu.edu).
But it works with turtles too. If I have some non-eaters
I will try feeding them in a green bin with something
red or reddish (some earthworms work too) and I find
that even if they turn down the worm in their
cage, against the green they can't help but go after it
of course you should not feed your torts worms...
but it's applicable... strawberries on lettuce...
very cool.... science...
