flowers, leaves, and even stems (if they are large enough to eat them) are all edible and healthy for a tortoise. They are also easy to care for and attractive. Most people who have them keep a few around to have a nice supply of flowers to feed the torts. It's especially nice since the flowers only last one day, then are ready to fall out at the slightest touch.

That and the torts love em.
