It would also be wise to add hay into his diet, so you don't end up with a picky eater later on, and because it helps to bind their stools, and is what they mostly eat in the wild. Stay away from alfalfa as it has too much protein and can aid in causing shell deformities.
Just chop the hay and the greens and mix them together. Be careful with the carrots, as I have seen my sulcata with diarrhea for days from eating them. A treat of prickly pair, or apple occasionally goes over very well too!

: I also add a half a carrot or a chunk of yellow squash once every other week or so during winter. They love those and it helps to wear down beaks.
