Bryant, I have a friend who has a reptile store out at the west end of the valley. It's on Mason and I can't remember the cross street. The store is Reptile Depot. Why don't you take the tortoise's in there and have them take a look at them, they can tell you what species they are and help you to decide if you can give them the proper care.
: every tortoise has specific needs, one species needs something completely different than the other. If you can post a DETAILED description, someone here may know what it is, or better yet, post some pics. Also, fertilizers can NOT be used any where NEAR the tortoises. Particles will travel in the air and get washed over boundries so you need to stop the use of fertilizers. Also, are you prepared to care for this tortoise for the REST OF YOUR LIFE? When you die, do you have someone willing to care for it? Most torts will out live you, so you need to take that into consideration above anything else.
