Niki,
it's one flowering plant that does really well here.
Very common in developed areas, pink, white or red and grows up to 20' tall or more, depending on the variety.Most landscaping is done with the smaller varieties though, smallish pink shrubs.

Really quite pretty , hardy and has a long blooming season, which is why it's used a lot here in the desert.
But very poisonous.

Still, more kids drown in their back yard pool than are poisoned by Oleander.
It's everywhere and poisonous as it is, I haven't heard of any poisonings yet.
