If the infestation is bad , it can take three doses, every two weeks. It could even take four or more treatments.
The normal course of treatment though is two doses , two weeks apart.
After his next dose, I would wait two weeks and have him tested again, to be on the safe side.
During the treatment perod, make sure that he's kept in a very clean environment. So he doesn't reinfest himself.
