The differences in their eventual size, and their
different socialization activities are a problem
too, if one tortoise starts flipping one of another
species on it's back or slamming him with his shell,
that's not exactly good.
: The problem with mixing tortoise species , is that different species can carry diseases,and parasites, that the other species never encounter, and have no resistance to.Any new tortoise (of the same species)that you intend to add, must be quarantined for at least 30 days, and should visit a vet.That way any disease, infection,or parisites can be taken care of before it could transmit them to the other tortoises.
