Hi, I'm rehoming two sulcatas this month.
I went through Turtle Homes and found them a great new home.
Their new keepers will even be driving from Texas to Arizona to pick them up.
I was put in touch with several people interested
in adopting these two sulcatas, 15" and 18".
I asked them loads of questions, such as, do they keep other sulcata, if so how long have they had them?
How large is the area the tortoises will be kept in?
Do they intend to breed them. (I think there are enough sulcata hatchlings available, and didn't want mine to become money making machines).
What do they intend to feed them?
What type of housing/heating would be provided for cooler weather?
Could they provide a photo of the tortoises enclosure?
I weeded one person out this way. They sent a photo of a tiny little area where they intended to house an 18" sulcata!!!!
Another person was going to keep them on a concrete patio!
I turned down 4 people in my state, and eventually found a wonderful new home for them in Texas.
So I recommend going through Turtle Homes, and asking a lot of questions to anyone interested in adopting it.
