Africn spar tortoise

I have a african spar tortoise. I belive that is the name. Anyhow. I have been trying to find info on them and can not find to much. I really enjoy him and want to give him the best I can. He has a vet. (I think toady is a he.) He is still young. He stays in a 20 gallon tank at night and we are fixing one of our spare bedrooms up for him. I was wondering what kind of plants could we include in his room for him to forage on. We have a heat lamp,but I amnot sure if that is enough.He has a window to get the sun, but do we need to give him different kindsof bulbs. I soak him in water 4 times a week like our vet says,but I saw something about wadeing pools. Could I do something in his room like that for him. Iknow I sound silly, but I really liketurtles and tortoises. I also have 1 redear slider that has his own pond outside and a patio pond setup in our living room.I know alot about them but not much about tortoises. I hopesome of yall could help with mine and toadys project. Ps he does not stayin the tank all the time. Justat night.Thanks. Ruth and Toady
