My guess would be that some species are more disposed to being friendly, sulcatas, redfoot, etc, but there is a lot variety in each group..much like people, birds, or other pets. Although Tofu is friendly, she's not as outgoing and friendly as other sulcatas I've heard about. We've a Timneh (african grey parrot) and a Congo (african grey), and their personalities are the opposite of what they are supposed to be according to the literature. Just goes to show, torts, birds, and other creatures don't read very often.
