doing exactly that: climbing the hibiscus bush to reach some leaves (after stripping the entire plant) on the NYC balcony! It won 1st place in the Tortoise Times last year, I think in August or July... take a peek in their archives - he looks totally caught in the act!!!
: my relatives from Europe came last week and they
: were here looking at Teddy outside and he, I swear
: now, stands up on his hind legs with his front legs
: climbing up the tall hibiscus bush (the one without
: any blooms yet) and is reaching for some leaves to
: try. I was surprised! If he was bigger he'd probably
: just shove it over and eat what he wanted! He's
: also not interested in his Mazuri now since he's
: outside so much. We have a water sprinkler
: that just drizzles gently and he follows it
: around the yard eating the wet grass/weeds and
: occasionally "charges" the sprinkler. I can tell
: when he's going to do that as he pulls his head
: in and lunges forward at it (trying to flip it
: over huh?!).
