Hello,
I've been considering purchasing a tortoise for quite some time. I'm a chameleon keeper in my other life. I was wondering if anyone had comments/experience about using hay (rehydrated?) as a food source? We live in the north and don't always have access to fresh plant material, excluding store bought stuff. My wife keeps chinchillas and they are feed a diet consisting of mostly hay pellets, including alfalfa, timothy, and orchard grass. Is this something I could use as an occasional food source to add some variety? I have access to both compressed pellets and "regular".
Thanks.
