Well, i think he's beautiful.
And i also take my Desert Tortoise to the vet in a dog crate about the same size as yours.
And our Desert Tortoise has been to my sons school for a project he did in kindergarten on Tortoises. And i do plan on him going again this year to his first grade class also.
I believe that if my tortoise is in his carrier, he can not get hurt, and he does not in any way seem to mind being in there. He usually turns himself around so he can look straight out. And when he gets to school, he absolutely loves to go from child to child to see who has what to eat in their hands.
So don't listen to anyone when they say putting him in a dog carrier is no good, at least it's not a cardboard box that he can't see out of.
And i feel that by me bringing my tortoise to my sons class that my tortoise is being used for educational purposes. Teach the children while they are still young. :)
And i'm sure there are people out there that disagree with Mr. T. going to school, but he is educating children, so i feel it's a good thing.
