if you scroll down (up?) you can see on the 17th
I posted some pics. I post a lot of pictures of
my Sulcata Teddy, who is about the same age as
yours, though mine is for certain a male, and
about 4 times the weight of yours. How are you
measuring, straight across the bottom or over
the curve across the top?
Seems there's no "right" size for sulcatas of
certain ages to be, genetics, sex, food, exercise,
climate all play a role in their growth to the
complete bafflement of everyone regardless of what
they tell you! HAHAHAH! I can tell you that if it's
a male, he will make that painfully obvious to anyone
that's even slightly shy or easily embarassed as
a male Sulcata displaying his penis is not something
that can be missed! (See, you wonder what they
got in that shell!)
Sulcatas (like all reptiles) should feel surprisingly
heavy when lifted, never light.
What's your tortoises name? Tell us about how
you're keeping her (I'm guessing her from the
age/weight but it's just a guess OK), and what
state you're in. I'm in NC and it's toasty hot
outside here.
Forum is kinda slow right now, people busy outside,
myself included, but there's a lot of nice people
on here (of course we sometimes fight :) but welcome!
