Wendi.
If I wanted to get rid of them, I would have handed them over to the first person who offered, or sold them to a breeder.
Right down the road, in Phoenix, they would have been gone a couple of months ago.
They would now be living on a small concrete patio of some sort, with a bunch of other sulcata and used for breeding.
No way, I turned that place down.
Next was a tiny little area with somebody who has no experience with sulcata.

No thank you.

And so on, I interogated everybody who offered to take them.
Finaly somebody in Texas offered them a great home.
Nice big area heavily planted with native grases, edible weeds/plants etc.No breeding, heated greenhouse, vet on staff etc.

And they're driving from Texas to pick them up, the end of next month.
Not a day goes by that I don't think about keeping them.
Then I look at their bare, grazed to nothing grazing area and know I can't keep them.

Their area here is around 80'x30', not big enough for two large sulcata.
Their grazing area alone in Texas will be 100'x100'.

I am upset, but not with you. I'm upset that I just can't keep them any longer.

Bubba is still burrowing, by the way, he's down around 8' now.
