Catching and killing an animal. Please explain to me how this doe not constitute cruelty. Are they just very polite and cordial to the snake before they cut his head off? This wouldn't be allowed to happen to any other animal. Could you imagine the public outcry if people were rounding up dogs or cats, herding them up in pathetically small enclosures and then killing them by a variety of means, perhaps so they could end up in "chili."
The worst part of this is that in every picture you see of these roundups there are children in the picture. They are being taught that this is the right way to treat a snake and will be likely to perpetuate these roundups. How can you justify these? How are they not cruel? I'm no "rabbit hugger" or whatever else the organizer called the vet who is protesting this B.S. but this is the epitome of cruelty.
P.S. Where is PETA in cases like this? What are they good for?
