I would say that 60 at night is too cold. My house drops to low 60s and i use an undertank heater in the winter. Now, since it is much warmer out, the house gets to the low 70s at night which is fine.
I have never been to a big reptile show, but since you aren't paying shipping, I wouldn't pay over $125. A decent CB baby redfoot usually costs from $100-125 without shipping. Be picky! Shop around. What show are you going to. Maybe one of the more reputable dealers like Central Florida Reptile Farm will be there.
: thanks! How big can he be before that cage is too small? I'm going to get a big wading pool for his outdoor home. I got the idea off a website, you take to kiddie pools, cut the bottom out of one and attatch them together to make it higher. i'm not good at explaining things, but here's the link if anyone is interested!

: Great idea for someone with a smaller tortoise and doesn't want to spend a ton of money!
: : Ideal humidity for redfoots is between 70%-90% but my redfoot cage is usually more like 65% and hes always been fine. the cage sounds fine. they get pretty big. around 12-16 inches as adults, but they dont grow all that fast. mine is two years old and he's five and a half inches. the temps sound good too. almost all baby redfoots for sale are CB, and subadults and adults are usually WC. a baby redfoot is very hardy. i got mine when he was 2 inches and he's never had any problems at all. Good luck!!! pete
