I don't want to tell you not to worry, but don't
worry too much. I've never heard of "snow mold"
but I have heard of their eyes watering some
naturally, and especially if exposed to WIND,
even if it's not that severe seeming to us.
If yours doesn't get out much he may have been
susceptable to the wind and that's made his eyes
water up a bit. (I don't know if you know or not,
but I put my Sulcata out IN the snow - quite the
controversy for sure but it wasn't windy and he's
pretty hardy! besides it was just for fun for a
short time - the only time I'm picky about putting
him out is if it's very windy - temp wise he flies
out the door at 55-60 in the winter if it's sunny.
I have something called ("Turtle Eye Clear" by
Terra Terrafauna it's a Vitamin Preparation
which helps prevent inflamed eyes).
It's a Made in Germany product but available at
pet shops and is simply a Vitamin A & water mix.
It's kept in my pet first aid section of the
cabinets. Hope this helps you a bit, I know
I worried about Teddy a lot when he was small,
now I realize his noises are farts and belches! LOL!
I still check him last thing at night and first
thing in the morning to see that happy face as
he drags himself up out of the aspen to start
another day with us! LOL! I've even got him
in my sights right now as his house can be seen
from my computer room window directly.
