Baby Pancake tortoise...PIC...

Hey, all,

Here is a quick pic of a baby Pancake born on 4/11/02. I don't think I will try taking photos of any more that may hatch this season. Why? The baby got VERY restless with the photo shoot and literally jumped out of it's egg and ran! This baby was at best 6 hours old, shaped like a taco with feet and trying to run away. It was pretty funny at least from my perspective... the baby I'm sure was terrified. Within 30 minutes the carapace had become almost completely flat. By the next morning I could barely notice when looking at it's shell that it was born the day before. Good stuff.
