It's funny, but after having her for five years, I can't imagine her any other way other than her usual somewhat cantankerous self. It's a source of amusement to us. I think this is one reason we've always referred to her as a "she." I read somewhere that female sulcatas are less personable. Not necessarily true, but Tofu at least, isn't at all puppy-like, if you understand what I mean. She does wander the house on occasion without problems, but this is rather rare. We simply try not to hold her for any more time than it takes to carry her to her destination...outside, to her carrier, etc. She's her own woman, or man, and that is that.
