I agree. We have dogs and cats, and they're great, but so is Tofu, and so are the birds, and, for that matter, so is my son's guinea pig. I find I get something special from each of them. Tofu isn't really cuddly, but she is very interactive, and likes to have her shell and head rubbed. She'll also kind of follow me around the backyard...hoping for food in part I'm sure. She knows my voice and will come out of her house when she hears it...unless she doesn't feel like it. That's okay too. I try not to treat my exotics like domesticated animals because I know they aren't. Tofu isn't as friendly as some tortoises/sulcatas I've heard of, but I like her just the way she is.
