I'm also from Edmonton, Canada.
How big is your Sulcatta?
I have 2 red footed tortoises, 2 three toed box turtles, 2 red eared sliders, 3 yellowbellied sliders, 1 chinese softshell, and a musk turtle.
I'm always interested in what people have in the City (there's only a few turtle/tortoise keepers).
As for Some good food for your sulcatta, I would just feed it a large variety of greens, also Zoomed tortoise food is good for them too. They have some large containers of the stuff at pj's pet centre on Calgary trail. Mazurie also has some pretty nutritional food.
Hope that helps,
Chris

: Hi everyone. Some of you may remember me, I've been visiting the forum for 2 1/2 years now, however i've only posted a couple times. I'm also a proud owner of an African Spurred Tortoise. He's my whole world. I'm been so content ever since I first found this forum. Like everyone else my friends & family get sick of hearing me talk about him day & night. (i'm only assuming it's a him for now.)
: Is there anyone out there from Canada? All of you are so far away I don't recall ever reading a post from anyone up here?
: I live in Edmonton, Alberta. April & we still have snow!! Which leads me to my next question, does anyone know of any place I can buy any kinds of tortoise food (ie. mazzuri(dont know if spelling is right) Living up here does make things a bit of a challenge but my babie's spoiled as it gets.
: One last question. Since I was first blessed with Tank we've visited 4 vets, the last one being the best & most knowledgeable in these parts. We visit ever couple months for check ups & weight recordings and he seems very healthy & active, how ever he makes lots of squeeky noises & minor bubbles out of his nose. This is why I first posted a year ago, No distress though he behaves very healthy. Is this common among captive breads?
