In Reply to: When Tofu goes bad... posted by Wendi on April 10, 2002 at 20:46:50:

: Last week it was time for all of the birds (Opus (conure), B'Earl (cockatiel), Gulliver (Timneh African Grey), and Clarence (Congo African Grey))and Tofu (weighs more than all 4 birds and then some) to go to the vet for their annual check ups. As usual Tofu was the hit of the group. My guess is that they see more parrots than sulcatas. Anyway, while we were waiting for test results, the birds were soothing their ruffled feathers (literally)in their carriers and Tofu was wandering happily around the exam room. Suddenly we hear this eerie sounding screaming coming from the room. I must admit to being a bit startled until I realized it was coming from one of OUR birds. When I looked in I knew what the problem was. Tofu was running towards Clarence's carrier and he was voicing his displeasure. Loudly. What a hair-raising sound. I moved the carrier, but I think I saw Tofu snickering as I turned to calm Clarence.
