YES!!! you need to soak him. depending on his age is how often he needs to be soaked. generally hatchlings are every other day, juveniles about 2 a week and sub adults and adults about once a week. yes even when they are 100lbs you still need to soak them. do not be surprised if he poops in his soaking area. make sure that the water is tepid and does not go about nostrils. a 10 minute soak should do. as for the dryness much of this will go away with a good soaking routine but yes it is normal! hope this helps!

: i just got a sulcata a few weeks ago finally. he si eating well and doing good except i have a question i noticed the top of his head the skin is dry and on his neck it is dry and peeling is this normal?? does it happen when they grow?? also i have read where people soak them is this necccesary if i have a shallow bowl of water in with him??
