Because they are so small I feel soaking them every other day is ok. They are desert animals and we keep them so hot and dry, that I always worry about dehydration. It also gets them used to being handled a lot as leopards can be quite shy. Its a good time for you to clean them, check their growth and bond with them as well. I'm no vet but they probably do just get a little water up their noses. Just keep an eye (ear) on them and watch for any other signs of distress. Mine are 5 years old any still get a good soak once a week.
: My 2 nine month old Leopard torts seem to wheeze a little when they are given a bath. Is this normal? I always check and listen with them up to my ear all the time now and I never notice it at any other time. I wonder if they are just getting water in their nose and mouth because that is what it sounds like. It is very faint and i can barely hear it. Otherwise they are fine and eat like pigs. I give them a 20 min. soak every other day. Is that good or is it too much? Please let me know. Thanks.
