Marissa ,
when we moved from Hawaii to Arizona last September, we had a terrible time shipping our pets. Since September 11th new restrictions have been put in place.
We could only ship if we were a known shipper. Had a contract with the airlines, or had shipped animals more than 3 times in the previous six months.
I don't know if those restrictions are still in place or not.
BUT the only way we could get our animals shipped was through a known shipper.
In the end we did manage to locate one, they picked the animals up from our house and took them to the airport.
The dogs went on one flight/airline, the torts on another and the birds on yet another, as even the known shipper had problems getting the animals accepted, (depending on the species).

That was last September, I don't know if those restrictions are still in place now though.
