well, with my guy, since he had it since birth, it was VERY obvious in the x-rays. i would really suggest you brining him to a reptile specialist if he isn't seeing one now.
: is an accumulation of uric acid crystals in the cells and joints of the animal. It can be caused by improper diet or (more likely in this case) dehydration. Because of the size of the guy the vet would really have to be experienced to see this in this case on an xray.
