dawn, That sounds like a great idea and I would like to try it. I tried yesterday to open it's mouth with my fingernail and I could not get it open. I'm afraid to hurt him/her. is there a trick to pry there mouth open with out hurting them and not squeezing his little head? plus after a few seconds of this he backs into his shell.. Kathy
: Hi Kathy, I had taken in a Sulcata last year that was very sick. URI. She too would not eat and the previous owners said she had not eaten in weeks. My vet suggested I put a leafy green (I used endive and dandilion leaves) and yellow squash and sprinkle some vits. Put into a blender with a little bit of water. Blend till it was a green soup, no chunks. The I used a suringe to get a little bit into her mouth. (I used a q-tip to slightly get her to open her mouth.) The just squirted a tiny bit into her mouth. Maybe the size of a peas worth. She did that lip smacking thing then swallowed it! I was so happy! We did this for 3 days then she ate on her own. Maybe you could try this. Good luck. Dawn
