Hi Ed,
I keep my 2 redfoots in a 40 gallon aquarium. In the aquarium I have:
1) one zoomed UVB light
2) 100 watt repti bask light
3) substrate is sphagnum moss
4) Ultrasonic humidifier hooked to the tank via PVC piping. It is on a timer to go off every 4 hours for a half an hour. This keeps the humidity at 80% always. On one end of the aquarium the temp is 83', on the other side it is 76'. I also have a waterdish and other acceseries in the enclosure.
Feeding.
I feed them once every 2 days. There diet consists of Romaine lettuce, parsly, peaches, apples, kiwi, and anything else I have in the fridge. I also give them zoomed tortoise pellets for one meal a week incase I'm missing any other nutrients in the diet.
I'll take a pic of my set-up tonight for ya. It's nothing extravingant, but the torts seem to enjoy it.
Here are a few more pics of my 2 redfoots.
This is frank (2yrs old)
This is lil'toot, it's 1 yr old
: pretty good. I think it looks perfect. Can you either post to the list or to me EXACTLY how you've been keeping it and try to be as detailed as possible.
: Thanks.
: Ed
