i have an adult pair that had their last meal probably sometime in early october. they have been outdoors buried in a pile of grassclippings since then. a few weeks ago i removed them and briefly soaked both in cool water, they didn't seem to have lost too much weight, altho i didn't realize how far back they can withdraw their heads!
do you guys think they will be both okay until march-april, which is when i suspect it will be warm enough for them to come out and feed? oh yeah, i am in south-central New Mexico, at approximately 4335 feet.
thanx
ian
