I see you added another opening as I suggested but the openings on the top are not necessary. I would move the two openings to both the sides and not put it near the center. Turtles walk along walls. Any place is OK but to the sides are more "turtle" ergonomic.

Be sure there is a way for rain water to escape. A sudden torrential rain could turn the pen into a swimming pool before the ground has a chance to absorb it. Along these lines, I suggest you have the pen on a small incline with the hut area at the highest end.

: : I am going to make an outdoor cage for my young russian once the weather gets better. I have all the info I need except for how long by how wide it should be. I want it to be large enough for him when he gets full grown. So what do you think? I will only be keeping one in there.
