Graham
I have no problem with people from the UK, my significant other was born in High Wycombe, England. I stand by my point in both cases, I feel I had a reasonable argument and I see that others agree with my point. I did not try to get personal with you in this string of posts. Read back through them, you started the personal attacks. My original post was not entirely directed at you, it was at those people who accused me of being irresponsible and then seemed amused with what I believe is another irresponsible act. I have had many species of tortoise. Of late I have sold most of my w.c. animals, because I began to feel that what I was doing was morally wrong. Yes all c.b. animals on the market today did originate from w.c. stock. But who would you rather support, the importer or the breeder, I must choose the later.
My knowledge is partly from books yes. But I have kept tortoises for several (8) years. I have also had contact with vets and captive breeders. This has also given me vast knowledge. Alot can be learned from books, do not knock them. As far as dragging out posts, I usually am trying to get a straight answer, something you and Stuart seem to be unable to give.
