Personally, I don't agree with keeping these big tortoises in any climate where you will see snow.Granted you can keep them indoors when it is cold, for a small part of there long life, but after awhile this will become very difficult, and near immpossible for some people. Natural sunlight is very important part of the husbandry of this great species. I notice the darker color and lumpiness of the tortoises that are living in cold climates,and it is very different from other CBB torts that in a warm climate "outdoors" all year.
