I have 1.1 Byrgoii and 1.0 Obalonga. I also have heard that seperating the males can help. How often do they might come across a female in the wild? Probably not often. When they do come across one, they mate. I would try sepeating them for a month or two and then re-introduce them. I am also dissapointed in the lack of activity. Maybe its my setup, but these guys sleep contantly. They seem to like to submerse them self in substrate so I have them in thick wood chips for now and might do something more elaborate come spring. The lack of activity suggests that space requirements need not be large. They do eat and they have gained weight in my care on a consistent basis. They have enjoyed romaine lettuce, apples, mango, and bannana. Other than those things, they seem to be pretty picky. When I first got the brygoii they did mate however I did not get any egg laying behavior. They are a neat tortoise that is little understood. I hope that changes in the years to come now that so many are in captive care.
Best of Luck
Toby
