: I was wondering if anyone feeds their tortoises Mazuri tortoise diet and if its any good. Or has anyone heard anything good about it?
I have been using it for about two years and my "tropical tortoises" such as my redfoots and elongateds love it and seem to do very well with it as I supply it to them a couple of times/week. No appreciable pyramiding, etc., but of course I give them "natural" food as well. The adult leopards rarely touch it, but the juvenile leopards and even all my other species seem to relish it. The Adult Herman's and Marginateds eat alittle of it. But overall, I find it to be a good additive, especially to my tropical species and for the juveniles of all of the species. I sprinkle xtra calcium on it as well. My young pancakes even eat it.
Oh, by the way, I get it from a livestock feed store that special orders it for me for about $12/25# bag.
