: I have a Texas/Ornate Diamondback Terrapin and a North American Wood turtle. Should I trade/sell these for a tortoise like a Greek, Russian, or Egyptian? I find myself doing a lot of back breaking work trying to regulate the water and all. It's just been very tiresome lately. :-(
: Please tell me what it's like caring for your tortoises. It sounds like a little more fun to prepare veggy diets than chopping up crickets and buying live blood worms. :-)
CC, Tortoises are wonderful pets, and their care is much easier thanH2O turtles. But
they need to be studied, and cared for species specific.Of all of mine, the Russians are the
most fun. Do some research before you buy or trade. There are a lot of great tortoises out there, and you need to find out
which would be best for you...t.t.f.n...jody
