Oh my, my heart is completely broken. I will never understand how anyone can do this to another living thing. I know it happens all the time, but it always breaks my heart.

I'm grateful you ended up with this cutie. With people like you in the world, these little guys have a chance.

Could you post a pic of him the way he is now if you have one?

: I know this is a bad pic. This is Pebbles, I got her from someone who bought her for his 8 yr old son. The son was the sole caretaker for her. She was kept with no heat, no water, no basking light or UVB in a 20 gallon tank. She was fed canned veggies when the son remembered. She is 5 yrs old in this pic. This was the day I got her. She weighted in at 525 grams! I kept her for 9 months and she tripled in size with good food, light and heat. Just wanted to share a pic of what will happen to those cute little torts you see in pet stores if you don't take care of them properly (and if they live) She now has a healthy happy home and does educational shoes for adults and kids. Dawn
