I have my baby sulcata on a carpet now, but I know they enjoy burrowing and the stupid pet store didnt have the proper substrate for sale that i had already saw him in. Would reptile sand be ok. I got it from a reptile show for my beardies and they said it would work for lots of other reptiles? I'm keeping the temp. at 85-88 degrees. as far as "dressing" up the cage, I think i will provide a hiding log, but I can't think of anything else appropriate. could i plant some cactus's in the tank? or maybe thats a bad idea? I have been bathing him in water no higher then his first shell 2-3 times a week for 10 mintues per bath. He is a little bigger then a .50 piece. Please let me know your thoughts and if I am doing things right.
