They have them in Mesquite Texas also. (near Dallas) They have 5-6 varying in size from 4" to 8". According to the "care" sheet... they can live in a 20 gallon tank, and eat just fruits and veggies. The only active animal was an 8" male who was eating what looked like a helping of coleslaw from the KFC next door. These guys were not in very good shape.
I also found a forest hingeback living with an asian wood turtle. According to the sheet hingebacks eat nothing but worms and snails, but this one must have ordered KFC for breakfast also... more coleslaw. The asian wood turtle was busy soaking in his tub of water and feces... I guess he didn't want any.
I was tempted to go check my savings account to see if i could afford to save all of the leopards, but i know I just run the risk of infecting my animals with god knows what. And, Petco would then think they were on to something big and decide to kidnap more wild animals so they can live on a bed of rabbit pellets.
I totally agree and support the idea listed below of a "stud" listing for turtles and tortoises. Maybe it would be something Kingsnake would like to start up on the website? Who do we ask?
