I think what you'll find is that everyone has their own opinion, based on their own experiences with torties that they've owned. At least I've never seen a study as to intelligence research with different species of torties. I have seen where some scientists have used Wood turtles in memory experiments, but that's not a tortie.

I've got Greek hatchlings and I personally think they're pretty smart. But I also love Redfoots - the ones I've had experience with are very bright and very personable. I think Annie and Amanda are developing great personalities as they grow (they're only about 3 months old!)

So, good luck with your survey. Are you asking because you are considering getting one or another one?
