Either the 100 watt or 160 watt flood would be fine. You will need to determine the distance by trial and error. The distance would be greater in, say a 10 gallon tank since the area will heat up much quicker than a 4X8 turtle table. Just use a good thermometer (not the pet store kind) and start back and work your way closer as you take your temp readings.
