: Ed,
: I've been reading up on the Fruitless Mulberry and have decided against it.
: The roots as you mentioned are the main reason as well as the pollen, apparently it can be a concern also, causing eye and even respiratory problems.
: I had some sort of black mulberry in Hawaii and had no problems with that.
: So it's either that or the weeping Mulberry.
: Thanks for the advise, do you or does anyone else have any info on the weeping mulberry tree?
: Terry.
Hey Terry,
Glad you got everyone over tothe mainland!
I have a fruitless mulberry, and yes it has alot of pollen when it flowers in the Spring but I have never had any trouble with it. Course I don't have pollen related allergies or asthma. My hubbie suffers from hay fever, but the tree hasn't been of particular concern. As far as the roots are concern, the damn thing is moving my front walk way! I cut entire branches for the tortoses to munch, and my torts are only little tanks!
