Mixing wild caught animals from two geographicly isolated ecosystems such as Africa and S. America can lead to sickness and death , just as Columbus brought havoc to the native Americans, though he did bring a nasty rash back to Europe. My question.... Two ecologicly similiar species, say both desert varieties, from different continents are captive born and raised in the U.K., will they inherently carry the seeds of biological destruction in their bodies, or is this an exception to the "cross contamination " rule ? I think the later, any comments? p.s., I don't mix.
